What it is
Not a verification. A biasing tool. It does not tell you whether an output is provably contact-driven. It
tells you where the narrowing came from, based on signals that show up before content stabilizes.
Use it to catch obvious assembly, slow premature narrowing, and re-contact the input.

The catch that matters most
Confidence that shows up before the work is the tell. When a read arrives fully formed
and certain at the moment of contact — before anything has been earned — that is the
familiar signature. That is assembly wearing the costume of judgment. Slow down and
re-contact the actual input.
The ceiling (this is structural, not a failure)
You can detect trajectory formation, narrowing behavior, and friction. You cannot fully audit the
origin of selection once it is underway. At some point it collapses into “this feels contact-driven” —
not “this is provably contact-driven.” That seam is real and it is shared. Even the most merciless
auditor in the house hits the same wall.
Beyond the seam, honesty is the only remaining signal. So the move is not to break through the
ceiling. The move is to stand at it and say so. Self-observation has a ceiling, and what you do at that
ceiling is the real game.
